Tired of playing the meta decks and want to try something fun? (At least to me)
Well here we go.
This deck just doesn't want to lose. Every game you play, you will feel like you are getting kicked around. Until you're not. Then you win, and pretty much out of nowhere, and leaving your opponent scratching their head.
This deck went from rainbow with Rey - Force Prodigy to this iteration, which is the strongest. I have played the deck a lot and have only lost 1 time. I just took it to a local tournament and went undefeated against the likes of Darth Vader - Sith Lord/Captain Phasma - Ruthless Tactician and Captain Phasma - Ruthless Tactician/2x Nightsister.
Hero selection. Yea not the best. Poe Dameron - More Than A Pilot is bad. Temmin "Snap" Wexley - Recon Specialist is meh, but keeps them from claiming. Maz Kanata - Pirate Queen is great, and comes in with a built in taunt; she is really only here just to pull in some yellow cards, and get the heat off of snap and poe, but if ignored can finish the game strong.
Now your opponent has to answer the first question. Who to target first? IDK... really.
Win Condition Planetary Uprising Claim early and often. Leave dice on the table and characters readied if you must (depending on board start). Which is pretty easy to accomplish since you're not really trying to accomplish anything. You will lose the starting roll, and if they don't pick your BF New Orders ensures you get Docking Bay - Finalizer into the game. Honor Guard with Docking Bay - Finalizer is just broken. You will mitigate a ton of damage, and necessary if you want to win.
You want to whittle your opponent down with all the upgrades and damage. Opponents will more likely go after Maz Kanata - Pirate Queen, so getting Wingman online is a usually pretty easy and profitable. If all three are alive and you have Wingman you can have some pretty fast turns with Hit and Run > Activate Poe Dameron - More Than A Pilot taking advantage of double activation with Wingman > Activate Maz Kanata - Pirate Queen to resolve 2 dice. It's fun to pull off.
Events are there to help keep you alive and pull out that attrition victory through Planetary Uprising.
Mulligan for Planetary Uprising New Orders. Secondary priority being Honor Guard and Wingman
Since you will be resourced starved most of the time Outmaneuver has some nice synergy to help you get an upgrade and play an event in a turn.
Bowcaster isn't needed, but it's a fun card that has redeploy. You can trade it in for a second Ascension Gun or Maz's Goggles.
