My take on the Thrawn Unkar craze with influences from across the internet.

This one focuses more on the Crime Lord. It is less straight mill. Between Buy Out, the Interrogation Droid, Thrawn, and Unkar there is plenty of discard to seal a game that way.

Hound's Tooth and Personal Shield are amazing for keeping the guys alive. I played one game where I went 3 rounds against FN-2199 - Loyal Trooper with him unable to get enough damage to finish off Thrawn. As long as you keep Vibroknife off the table you can live a very long time with those shields.

Rend - I was concerned about seeing the new Sabine loop deck along with Sith Holocron and Force Speed. I shouldn't have. Rend was usually a dead card and I think I used it once to get rid of a Force Speed. Confiscation does the same thing in that case.

Friends in Low Places - This is great for seeing what they have before using Thrawn, provided you aren't concerned with them dropping a big upgrade or support. It also helps ensure they won't be able to control away your Crime Lord dice.

Ace in the Hole - So much fun. You don't have to worry if they are focusing Unkar, you can sneak Crime Lord in after they've claimed and with all the focus it's not likely to be just a wasted die.

Chance Cube - I didn't expect this to be great, but wow! With all of the focus in the deck, it is very easy to get the 3 resources. It pays for Hound's Tooth and is just generally awesome. I would have liked 2 in the deck honestly.

Prized Possession & Detention Center - These cards are amazing together. They can completely lock out a big character like Poe, Vader, Luke, Cad, etc. It's also amazing how many times I would Prized Possession a character's die and then while I had Detention Center in play my opponent would roll that character in first. I would then remove the other character die with Detention Center and they couldn't do anything to stop it. They are just super powerful in the right situations.

In general I would say this is a difficult deck to play well. It takes a lot of knowledge of the game to really excel, but it can be extremely powerful. It is very frustrating to play against, and can be very stressful to play as well. I would not suggest it for casual friendly events. It is not a "friendly" deck. :D
