This is a fun little deck I've been playing over the last few weeks. Blue/Yellow Villain is always a treat, there's just so many fun and nasty Events you can play! Is it tier 1? Probably not. Is it tier 1.5? I think, in the right hands, that's a solid yes.

Deck Philosophy

This is a mid-tempo aggro deck that attacks its opponent's hand even while doing damage to their characters. Attacking your opponent's hand is extra-valuable here, because, as well as denying your opponent their cards and rerolls, discrepancy in hand size plays into Vos' .

To that end, I recommend making attacks on your opponent's hand aggressively and often. As soon as you have three or more Melee Damage symbols showing, play Close Quarters Assault. As soon as you have Pickpocket in hand and the resources to spare, play it. And if you have Boundless Ambition in hand and Vos' in your pool, discard your own cards aggressively to encourage your opponent to do so as well, then Boundless to draw back up to five. I've routinely done 3-4 damage using that trick.

The mitigation suite of Electroshock, Isolation, Doubt, and He Doesn't Like You is pretty standard, so I won't dwell on those cards.

Nasty Tricks

Bait and Switch - After using Abandon All Hope and they've chosen to ditch their hand, or after using Boundless Ambition to refresh your hand, Baiting a over to Vos' is about the nastiest thing you can do.

As You Command - When you are sure your opponent has no mitigation left (either because their hand is gone, or because you've checked with Friends in Low Places) use this card to change Bossk's 3 face to a 3 face. Then switch Vos' character and upgrade dice over to (or if that'll net a better result) for a big hit.

Boundless Ambition - Use this to refresh your hand when you have a Vos showing. Your opponent might think that it's okay to discard to reroll if your hand is smaller than his, so you can bait him into almost emptying his hand, and then play this card to refresh your hand and suddenly that goes from 0 damage to 3+ damage.

Armoury

The idea was to go with cheap upgrades, so that you have the money for your nasty Event cards. Crossguard, Makashi and the Vibro are straight-forward choices. The other two were partially chosen because they're one cost upgrades you can overwrite later, but they were also chosen for specific purposes which might need some explanation.

Dark Counsel - the ability to draw a card (potentially, unlimited cards) plays into Vos' special, and the focus results are nice too. Play it on him round one, then override for a weapon next round to keep your resource.

Extortion - Bossk has the potential to roll enough to make the usable, but ideally you don't want Bossk on if you can help it. Extortion is here for the override, but it's also here for the and faces. It's an easy swap for On The Hunt, if you'd prefer synergy and more removal, but you do lose some important resource generation.

Tech Cards

Abandon All Hope - almost always a good first turn play, but hold it in reserve against Thrawn/Unkar until after Unkar has rolled in. It's too easy a choice for him to give up two resources, knowing he'll get more after he activates Unk.

Friends in Low Places - If you have Close Quarters Assault in hand, use it to pick out big mitigation like Sound The Alarm before trying to roll up a good pool for CCQ. Nothing hurts more than having five in your pool, and your opponent forcing you to reroll them before you can CCQ.

Rend - we all know why this is here: Imperial Inspection or Force Speed.

Other Choices

Always mulligan for at least one form of hand attack, and one upgrade. This deck is a struggle if you draw badly. To that end, Maz's Castle serves to cycle if your opening hand isn't all that you'd hoped it would be.

I like Pickpocket, it's good for getting that last card out of his hand, or for creating a swing for the Vos . You might want to remove it for extra upgrades, or a different form of hand attack. Loose Ends is a possible Event swap, make use of Bossk's modifier.

Earlier versions of this deck played more heavily into using Vos' by using cards like Psychometry and Temptation, but in the end just whacking them with proved to be more effective. Lying in Wait was also included, but it's just not that useful unless you happened to have Boundless Ambition in hand as well. As mentioned above, Extortion could be comfortably swapped with On The Hunt, if that's more to your playstyle.
