Won a small 4 round tournament with this list.
Round 1 : eKylo2/ePhasma2 (win) This match up scared me the most. With 26/30 yellow cards, I knew I would be taking 2 damage on each activation. I was able to kill Kylo at the beginning of round 2 with Never Tell Me The Odds for 9 damage.
Round 2 : eVader2/ePhasma2 (win) Another strong team. Getting destroyed by this deck the week before is what motivated a lot of the changes to my build. I opted to play on his battlefield (Throne Room) to prevent him from getting shields down on Vader so I could try and kill him fast. It actually ended up being really beneficial for me as I was able to claim almost every round to steal a resource with Ezra.
Round 3 : ePalpatine (win) At first, I thought this match up would've been to my advantage, but with Holocron and Force Speed out early, my DL-44 and Negotiate plays were a lot less effective than I anticipated. I ended up taking it with an ambushed Double-Cross, where I resolved a focus from Holocron on Sabine's die to link up a +2 from one of my guns, finishing him off before he could play Rise Again.
Round 4 : eCad Bane/ePhasma2 (win) The closest of the 4 games. I almost lost Sabine when he had her at 3 health before I could play Second Chance. Luckily I was able to get it down and finish off Cad Bane in that same round. Phasma was easily taken down after with Never Tell Me The Odds.
The key here is to try and claim first so you can roll in Ezra early, setting up some crazy mitigation plays with Negotiate and Double-Cross. Rolling disrupts and/or specials can also force your opponent into spending all their resources, effectively taking out their ability to play events and resolve pay sides. Infamous is really the key here. It allows us to play Hidden Agenda or Smuggling fast if we need a resource to pull off a combo or emergency mitigation. It can create some awesome plays with Double-Cross and Never Tell Me The Odds which will swing the game completely. You can even ambush Scavenge in to retrieve your Second Chance if your opponent just rolled a ton of damage that you can't control. I've seen a lot of Sabine players take out Infamous in favor of using only Running Interference (myself included, at first). Running Interference is a really good card, but Infamous is even greater in this deck, I think.

People cut infamous because it costs 1, and you really want to be able to play never tell me the odds round2 with Ri if possible. Scavenge or truce with Ezra special solves but it doesnt happen every game. |
