This is the list I took to a 4-3 finish this weekend at the Warren Michigan Prime. Another player went 5-2 with the same characters. He had to leave right after the tourney so I didn't get a chance to compare notes.

The weeks prior to this Prime I was testing Lor San Tekka - True Believer/Anakin Skywalker - Podracing Prodigy/C-3PO - Perfect Gentleman/Espionage. I like playing Mill because playing into it is different which leads to my opponents having to adjust their gameplan or they will lose. Leading up to this Prime I decided the Lor deck was just too susceptible to getting a character killed R1 or early R2. Up unitl Thursday I was planning on play PloWoks. Similair to Mill, PloWoks cause opponents to adjust their gameplan. Additionally, for longer tourneys, I like bringing a deck that is just going to out right smash some match-ups. This brings me to Thursday, where I watched a Top 8 stream from last weekend of Leia/Yoda vs. Palp. I realized that Leia Yoda would solve the issue of losing a character early with the added benefit of being able to Mill and Discard consitently with just the characters. I tested into many of the top lists having amazing results against 4-LOM - Calculating Criminal and Palpatine - Unlimited Power. Good results into ReyLo and average results into Droids as long as they weren't using Fateful. So I sleeved the deck up with 1 flex slot which ended up being Dex's Diner because I was expecting PLoWoks.

Brief re-cap of the tournament. Sorry, I didn't remember everyones names.

R1 vs 4Lom/GG/Messenger - WIN - Don't remember much about this game except that it ended with very little damage on either of my characters due to healing and Rings.

R2 vs Maul/Phasma2/Retribution - WIN - This was a good example of terrible dice. His Maul PA into damage once and it was only 1X. The rest of the time was banks. A R1 first Aid on Leia and Dex Diner kept both my characters alive thru this one.

R3 vs 4Lom/GG/Messenger - WIN - Played against one of my testing partners Scott Y. who has topped in alomst every Regional he has been too. This game was an example of everything going right. I won in Round 2 before even having to roll Yoda in.

R4 vs ReyLo - WIN - Played by Dan Cassell. I have played Dan before in other events and was nervous because he is an amazing player. Niman Mastery on Yoda was the star of this match and I would totally add a second if I play the deck again. He was able to take Yoda down but I was just too far along by then.

LUNCH - My worst enemy. I have a well documented history of torpedoing after lunch and this tounrament was no different.

R5 vs Chopper/3P0/R2 - Loss - Played by Tony B who went undefeated on the day. He wasn't running Fateful so I had a chance. The game ended with him having 2 cards in hand. Round 1 I milled 6 cards 4 were Mods and 2 were Field Medics. He played very well and never let me Flames Chewys blaster.

R6 vs ReyLo - Loss - Played by Nathan L. This game stands out the most to me because I made a huge misplay by forgetting about Kylo's PA. I knew I had milled both Polarity and he played both Crossguard Lightsaber so I thought I was safe and didn't use the Mend in my hand and got Yoda Killed before getting any value out of his dice that round. The game ended with I believe him having 3 or 4 cards in hand, but the clutch play for him was an early Power From Pain on Rey that allowed him to Steadfast for the win. Most valuable lesson just heal when you have it because ReyLo packs lots of surprise damage.

R7 vs Han/R2/3P0/Fateful - Loss - Played by Jason W. who also topped the weekend before. In testing I knew I had a very poor match up into Fateful droids. I actually got much closer than I expected but ultimatley Rex's Blaster Pistol allowed for too much action cheating for me to get around.

Even with these results I still think this verison of Mill is good into the current meta especially in the hands of a better player. Cool fact all my losses made Top 8 and all my wins went 4-3 or better. Shout out to all my 216 crew for all the testing and suggestions for card choices.

I am a big fan of mill, and I am currently working on a version of this deck as well. Any reason you did not include Riot Shield?

Big_Campy 384

@SirSuperSuds I don't think Riot Shield is a bad option, it was one of my flex choices. I prefered the healing events which can be brought back with Resistance Ring . I also expected lot's of ReyLo and they do so much ping damage and have options for unblockable damage not to mention it triggers Kylo Ren - Bound By The Force special.

Are there any changes you would make?

Big_Campy 384

@SlowLearner I would definitely add a second Niman Mastery the card is just too good on Yoda. Yoda was typically the first target, so Jedi Mind Trick can go offline, I think you could easily replace that with Channel The Force, Repulse, or Snuff Out. Dex's Diner was really a FLEX card, so I think you could sub that for something else you might like.

Thoughts on Scrap heap? I never felt it was terribly needed with this line up, but I've only played them a meta ago.

@bacon I am meh on Scrap Heap. It is very similar to It Binds All Things and Tech Teamwhere if you get it R1 it feels pretty good. Unfortunately not many of the ramp cards work well for this deck.

@Big_Campy Why does this deck need any ramp cards, was more my question. :). Or are you really focusing heavy on Yoda’s dice milking and shielding, rather than money making when needed? (I realize every use of his special is very situational).

Big_Campy 384

@helikaon having the Scrap Heap just my preference really. I like having a way to generate extra resources to allow me to be more flexible with Yoda's specials.
