Another early deck concept, this build utilizes Luke Skywalker - Jedi Knight's card draw to cycle Luke's Protection without having to invest in the relatively expensive upgrade Fearless that similar decks rely on. Journals of Ben Kenobi, Trust Your Instincts, and Luke himself all provide cheap (even free) card draw that you can use to generate shields and keep Rey - Finding The Ways pinging out that free damage. I'm not going to pretend like this is a top-flight meta deck or anything, but it's fun to play and definitely something you can steal games with.

Caution, Synchronicity, and Riposte form the event core of every shield deck ever, so they aren't a surprise. Rend feels to me like it's probably a staple until the meta proves me wrong, but I'm not sold on the need to include multiple copies (may be proven wrong about that too, but what do you do?). Partnership is a cute play that gives you the action cheating you miss not running Force Speed, which is a card that I wanted to include in here, but space felt tight.

The cool thing about this deck is that it's can generate an outrageous amount of either extra health (shields!) or damage (shields!) with just a single copy of Luke's Protection bouncing around, so you have a lot of flexibility in how you approach different match-ups. I hard mulligan for LP when I begin games with this deck. Shoto Lightsaber does kinda the same thing, in the sense that it either gives you and extra shield or removes one of theirs. Rey's Lightsaber is basically Jedi Robes on a really powerful stick, which we like in a build like this one.

I'm open to suggestions on how to make this build better, but I liked what I had with it and felt like sharing. Thanks for reading!

Cool idea! I am going to try to run something similar and let you know how it goes. I don't have an Ancient Lightsaber yet Rey's Lightsaber. Do you think thats an ok swap or is there another upgrade I should run? I also don't have Journals of ben kenobi. Do you think swapping in a Makashi training and a force speed is an ok swap? I am just worried about the damage output.

Sorry something cut off on comment above. Tried to say swapping ancient Lightsaber for a second Rey's Lightsaber since I don't have one yet. I also cut the Lightsaber Pull as a result and threw in another basic Lightsaber.

I think you proposed changes would work well, but losing the draw power of Journals of Ben Kenobi would hurt the combo a bit.

Hope it was fun to play!
