Running Win-Lose Total: 30-13

Tournament Wins with this deck: 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 1st, 3rd, Top4/Top8

The goal of this deck is extremely fast aggro with massive damage rolls per round for as cheap as possible.

I took this deck 4-0 in my local store tournament last week. I beat a few of my friends strong decks with it. I took it 3-1 in this week's tournament as well.

Mulligan to get Electrostaff first, with Vibroknife being second. Ideally you want Electrostaff and another upgrade, and 3 mitigation cards in your opening hand.

All upgrades cost 2. All mitigation costs 0 All life/health costs 1

It's important to note that 50% of every single dice card, including the characters, is melee damage (except for FN, but if he rolls ranged, use it or reroll, up to you). Also note that all dice cards (except the two chars) have no resource costs. Getting Electrostaff on each char early on is very important to this build. Every time one of your chars rolls a resource damage side, it will be free.

The disadvantages of this deck are that all dice cards cost 2 or less, so they are susceptible to Electroshock and Imperial Inspection. I don't often play anyone with Imperial Inspection, and there's only 2 Electroshock cards in a deck max, and only for Yellow, so you should still be able to overpower even those cards, or just plan that during a tournament, you just may lose that particular game. Just keep steady with the discard and rerolls to attempt to overpower the use of these two cards.

You can easily roll 6-9 damage on round one with just one upgrade out. You will then consistently roll 6-12 damage every round once you get some more dice cards out.

I can't stress enough on the discard and rerolls. You should be able to kill one character per round or nearly kill them. You can then split damage the next rounds to finish one off and start on the next one. Bide your time, if you can outlast your opponent each round, let them claim the battle field. Then take your time discarding as much out of your hand as you can to roll maximum melee damage. The look on your opponents face when you keep discarding excellent cards is priceless when you end up hitting that 12 damage each round, usually unblockable if even one Vibroknife.

Keep in mind that with each round, you can usually do so much damage, that you should not worry about shields. If someone has 3 shields, still go after them, 6-12 damage is no joke, even with shields. Your next round will finish off whatever was shielded. I've won half of my games without vibroknife at all.

Make sure to play the Crossguard Lightsaber on Kylo for that one extra damage to a char. Don't forget to use Kylo's color calling ability. Don't be afraid to ask to see their discard pile to get a better idea of what color to guess. If you put a modifier only die card on FN, do not use FN's ability to roll it, it may land a nice +3 which can be quickly mitigated before you roll the rest of your dice out.

Round 1 and 2, Mitigate enough to keep you damage free if you can, let the opponent claim early, then discard everything to get that perfect roll for single round kills.

The two downsides to this deck are Imperial Inspection and Electroshock. Save a Rend for Imperial Inspection, and just suck it up when you get Electroshock. You should still have enough dice cards out to wreck someone even if you lose one or two. and follow the discard/reroll plan.

I hope this deck build finds its way to those of you looking for a budget aggro deck that is heavy hitting, fast playing and soul crushing to your opponents expensive decks. Nothing in this deck cost more than $10. a handful were $5, the rest were all $0.25. I built most of this by buying singles, using what I had, and from the 2 player game.

It's beat quite a few of the top meta decks out there so far, so I'm pretty happy with it as of now.

Unless you're being heavily mitigated, games usually don't go past round 4. With mitigation, they may last round 5-6, but you're still very much in the game while your opponent is pretty much gone by then.

I'm open to any suggestions and comments. Enjoy!

up to 11-3 last night.

The other two games I quickly mowed down Qui-Gon/OldRey. I only lost FN on one of the two.

The first of the two wins I won with only one upgrade out (Electrostaff on FN). Qui-Gon was Quite-Gone after the top of round 2, and round 3 was fast finish for Rey.

This deck just deals that much ridiculous damage.

My one loss was on my buddy's new deck of NewPoe/Sabine endless thermal. My deck's problem was that even after a mulligan, I couldn't get an Electrostaff out until almost the last round before I died. There was a lot of pay-1 damage I had to leave behind or waste cards to reroll to a free damage side from the two character dice. Once Electrostaff came out, I mowed down Poe, and had Sabine almost defeated for a near come back... but it was too late as he also had a second chance sitting on her. He was able to mitigate a lot of my base damage sides, but I was able to keep discarding to reroll for maximum damage. It just wasn't fast enough missing the electrostaff's free resource ability, and I rolled a lot of pay-1 sides that game. That Electrostaff makes all the difference.

Also if anyone knows how to remove the old published versions of your same decks, the help would be much appreciated. Accidentally hit Publish twice and now there's 3 copies of this showing up :(

Very interesting that you didn't even put Z6 Riot Control Baton or Lightsaber. I like the idea of the 0 cost control cards. I might have to take a few of your ideas for my deck.

Last night's weekly tournament didn't go so well. Game 1 - Couldn't get either Electrostaff out until the last round. I was able to mitigate a lot of damage, so it dragged on a while, and the opponent wasn't doing much damage either. I finally just died because I literally rolled 1 damage for several rounds. I had a lot of dice cards out too. Just plain bad luck with the card draws and rolls.

Game 2 - ugh, got a buy. That's the worst.

Game 3 - I had some good cards out, I was feeling good about this game, Did a lot of damage in round 1 and 2 (couldn't kill the char I was focusing on)... then the tables turned and I rolled literally zero damage the rest of the entire game. Again, just bad luck on dice rolls. Not much I can do about that.

Game 4 - However... Game 4 was THE PERFECT game. Won at the top of round 4. Single Palpatine - Galactic Emperor and Servant of the Dark Side combo. Mono Blue. New Kylo was loving this. I guessed 3 of the 4 card pulls for 6 damage right there. Round 1 I had an Electrostaff out on FN. Got great rolls. Chewed away at Palp's shields and put a few damage on him. Round 2 I got my 2nd Electrostaff out on Kylo. Then rolled 10ish damage. I was doing fine with health so I diverted 7 of my damage over to Servant of the Dark Side for an insta-kill, and the remainder on Palp. Round 3 I rolled a lot of melee, pulled the Close Quarters Assault out and kept my opponent from rerolling anything, and then took my time rerolling everything with all the cards left in my hand. Rolled 11 damage total insta-killing Palp, then for fun, rerolled the last dice for 13 damage total.

Sadly this was not enough to get me into the top rankings for the evening, but was still a lot of fun.

Also played at work today for a couple lunch time games against eLuke/Kanan. I couldn't get my Electrostaffs out on game one, and rolled garbage and got beat. Game 2 I got Electrostaffs and two vibroknives out. Round 3 I insta-killed Kanan with a 10 damage roll. Round 4 I pulled a Close Quarters Assault and kept my opponent from discarding to reroll. Then took my time discarding and rerolling myself. Pulled off another 14 damage roll for the win.

I love the burst damage of this deck!!

@fallin85 I wanted to keep the dice cards to all 2 cost. This way no matter what, I can always get one out each time. Also, Lightsaber and Riot Baton both have a side that costs, and I don't rely on money with this deck.

I've been trying to figure out how to optimize this more and by doing so, I always look at which cards I hate drawing, which ones I never use, which ones have only a small number of situations I would ever use it. I realized that 2-3 of the games I mentioned so far I have lost due to the fact I couldn't get Electrostaffs out, using it for it's cost cutting ability on die sides.

I decided to remove a Lure of Power and a Tactical Mastery for two Imperial HQ. Lure of Power I only use for the utility and it would get overridden if I get better stuff out. Tactical Mastery I love, but I typically only use it in one specific scenario with this deck (getting 2 upgrades out at the same time, or combine it with vibroknife for an extra action. The 2nd one I typically discard as I need it for discard/rerolls.

I was against any supports in this deck as I think it would slow the gameplay down (play a card instead of mitigating or damaging)... but if I have to play one card that I can re-use over and over again in order to counter the effect of not having Electrostaffs out, then I think it's a worthy trade. If I have electrostaffs out early ,I would just end up discarding these cards.

We'll see how it goes today. I got a 2-box tournament this afternoon :)

I took 2nd place in the 1-box tournament today.

Game 1 Win- Kanan Jarrus - Rebel Jedi/Padawan/Padawan - Got taken out pretty quickly.

Game 2 Loss- Sabine Wren - Explosives Expert/Ezra Bridger - Force-sensitive Thief - I couldn't get my electostaffs out in the first couple rounds, but had one Imperial HQ to limp along with. Opponent had Second Chance out on Sabine round one to add to what I had to battle through. I took Sabine out, and focused on Ezra. Kylo was dead and I had 2-3 health left on FN. Ezra was a solid 8 still. My last move, I finally rolled 8 damage, but was one turn too late and my opponent got me with one die for the kill. I just couldnt get the cards or rolls going on this game. He was Mono Yellow, and I called all but one card with Kylo (that was about 8 Damage on Sabine alone).

Game 3 Win - Magnaguard/yellow/red (I forget the other two chars) - Took the 1st red out. Then had Magnaguard "dead" but didn't realize he still lives until the end of the round, so he had some dice to still play after the fact. Finally took out his yellow for the win. I had an electrostaff on both chars and a vibroknife as well, I forget what else.

Took another 1st place in a local tournament tonight. 3-0-1 (had a buy, but got to play 3 solid win games).

Vader/Traitor was the only main threat, he was rolling strong specials and high damage sides with baby vader. Kylo always gets picked on first, but he stayed around 2 rounds longer than the opponent wanted to and I was able to fired off some nasty damage before Kylo died. FN was able to bring out Electostaff late in the game, followed by a vibroknife for an unblockable win.

I had a Rainbow 9's match. FN was my focus as my opponent kept doing overrides and rerolls the entire game. I ignored mitigation in place of discard/reroll as I saw Kylo was taking on big hits. The opponent guardianed away a large number of damage to Royal Guard, which was fine because he needed to die anyway, so I was basically was killing two characters at once with the massive burst damage my deck does. I love when people guardian against my deck. I went against my better judgement and split my damage on one round, killing royal guard, and was able to discard reroll one last time to kill FN, so it was good call after all (Never split your damage!). Bala was last, holding on for a couple rounds while I beat away at him. One round was 100% mitigated, so I just had to stay alive for the next round. Kylo was long gone, but I had a full health FN to face off against Bala. I had an electrostaff and vibroknife on FN, and on the last round drew another electrostaff to override the lure of power FN was also carrying. 2 quick rolls finished the game.

I forget the 3rd combo I played, but they died really fast. I had Electrostaffs on both kylo and FN, and then tossed a vibro knife on FN. I didnt bother getting any other weapons out, and just mitigated, and used all other upgrades in my hand for rerolls. The damage was to too great for the opponent to mitigate. The opponent also had a mono blue deck, and I called the correct color on all but one round.

3 more wins tonight.

Played Sabine/NewPoe (infinite thermal paint/detonators) twice. Game 1 - Sabine killed round 2, Kylo finally taken out, and a fully loaded FN finished Poe off. Game 2 - Same scenario, Killed sabine first, and still had both Kylo and FN at the game end. Rolled 10 damage, and a 12 damage on the last two rounds. You just can't mitigate that fast enough.

Game 3 - newPhasma/newKylo - Both were mowed down after several rounds. Rolled several more 8+ damage turns for a quick death to my opponent. Kylo died in this game, but FN had a vibroknife and two electrostaffs on him. Opponent claimed early with only one upgrade out on his newPoe, he was out of cards, so I took my time rerolling. Last re-roll for me was another 10+ damage for an easy kill.

2 wins, 2 losses lastnight. Loss 1 - Elite Palp, he was healing too much, ran rise again, doing his double guaranteed 4 damage each round, and milling my cards. Last roll I had lethal damage showing, but all he had to do was resolve a die and I was done. Loss 2 - Kylo/FN, opponent had riot batons and rocket launches out by round 2, was over riding and hitting every max damage side on every roll. My FN was gone round 2 and Kylo was gone 2 rounds later, I just couldn't mitigate fast enough.

Win 1 - Don't remember, but I had Kylo left standing.

Win 2 - FN/Guavian/RoyalGuard I think. Round 1 I had electrostaff out on FN. Round 2 I apologized to my opponent and brought the other electrostaff out on Round 2. Round 3, I brought out a Vibroknife. his FN died fast, royal guard had guardianed half my massive damage already so I picked him off next, then poor guavian had only 7 health left and a single riot baton. I rolled out 10 damage. For fun I discarded all my cards to maximize the damage I had showing... and my last non-damage die, my opponent doubted it for a laugh to see if we could Yahtzee an entire die pool with melee (we missed) but I ended up with 13 damage. we finished with a fun photo of the die and damage counters on poor guavian.

Good times.!

2 more tournaments coming this weekend too! a Box+ and a 2-box, both with $5 buy-ins!

BlueValeGames 45

Two more tournaments this weekend Sat went 1-3 , a lot of powerful decks there. would have been 2-2 but I was helping one guy out that hardly played it, and by pointing out what my electrostaff does cost me the game on round 1... (had 7 damage showing on turn 2, he mitigated the electrostaff after I told him what it did (my doing, he didn't ask)... and that was that... oh well

Sun went 3-2. Was in 4th for top 4. I wanted to split the 2 box prize with the top 8 I"m not greedy), but two of the other top 4 guys wanted to keep playing... so we played one more round. I got beat and knocked to 5th. Then they split for top 4 after that. Grrr.

BlueValeGames 45

This will be the last post for this deck. I plan to keep it around for big tournaments, as I feel is is pretty potent.

I am working on a new guns-only hero deck, to compliment this melee-only villain deck.

BlueValeGames 45

Well, the new rule are going to hurt this deck a little. While I don't do overrides, and I don't do the FN infinite override re-rolls, I do have FN there for his point value cost, and his larger amount of health...and he's red.

So with the new rules, I'm going to have to go with one less dice now for FN or choose another red character. I'm interested in Grievous, but I can only run him with one dice too... but his melee sides are stronger, but he has one less health. Might still be worth it, since the entire mechanic of my deck works off of electrostaff anyway.

I've started playing with my new guns-only hero deck and having some fun with it. Looking forward to breaking up all the meta wreckers and seeing some more variety at tournaments.
