They are young and ambitious, have done couple of successful bank robberies (Profitable Connection) and are now on the run and get confronted by police or rival gangs (other decks - hero or villain). Luckily they have their arsenal of weapons and gadgets ready and are better prepared than the legends tell.

The tourney

Round 1 - eRey / Jedi Instructor / Jedi Acolyte

This was the easiest matchup as you could tell from the team line up already - I killed Rey early second round and then it was like a walk in the park. Finished with unharmed Anakin and 4 damage on Sister. 1-0

Round 2 - Yoda / General Rieekan / Jedha Partisan

I won the battlefield roll and chose mine because I did not want to give the opportunity to use the War-Torn Streets - Jedha that opponent had. I know giving 2 shields to a Rieekan team at the beginning might not be the best choice, but my first action was to play Frighten and smirk :) After that we continued the battle of shielding up and tearing them down and I was able to discard some key cards away from my opponent´s hand - 2x Hyperspace Jump and a Fall Back before he could use them. I went first after Partisan, who fell during Round 2 and then Yoda - probably killed in Round 4 or 5 and after that it was easy to finish off Riiekan with still some cards left in my deck and hand. 2-0

Round 3 - eZeb / eYoda

Although my Force Speed was Vandalized right from the start it was not a hard match for me. I did some burst damage in first two rounds and was able to down Zeb in Round 3 if I remember correctly, by then my Seventh Sister was also dead but I had full health and fully geared up Anakin (with Maul´s and Kylo´s saber and some other upgrade) against almost gearless Yoda. So it was an easy finish after that. Disrupting resources on the right moments was essential in this matchup. 3-0

Round 4 - FOST / FOST / FOST / Tie Pilot

So this was the deck my battlefield ability was the most useful against. Still this was the toughest matchup thanks to life pool difference and a successful Endless Ranks play by my opponent. My opponent had lot of cheap guns and other 1 cost upgrades so it was a bit more difficult to control all the dice. I finished with a dead Seventh and geared up Anakin with 4 health left (plus Force Illusion on him). 4-0

Round 5 - eThrawn / Unkar

I was able to gear up well in the beginning of the game and then hacked away Unkar pretty quickly. Thrawn fell soon afterwards and I had about 3 cards left in my hand and 5 cards left in my deck (and that was after opponent´s desperate Buy Out play - just before Thrawn bite the dust). 5-0

Some notes about the deck

The deck idea was to play either Maul's Lightsaber or Kylo Ren's Lightsaber on a character turn one which I succeeded in 4 games out of 5 if I remember correctly - thanks to mulligan and 4 cards in the deck to allow it. While Maul´s is the better weapon, Kylo´s is not far behind - it has also 4 damage sides, two of them resolvable without any other base side. The ability to roll it back into pool requires the special side and shields on the other side, but it´s for free and in a shield heavy meta it usually works well. Most of the mitigation is 0 cost to help pay for the upgrades/pay sides/Maul´s saber ability). I think I did not even play Rise Again once, so it might be better idea to replace them with some villain mitigation cards (to keep the villain card count good for Anakin´s special). I don´t have second Force Speed in my collection but would add it instead of Crystal Ball given the chance.

this looks great. how often Rise Again come in handy? would it be better to have Indomitable or another Force Illusions?

As you can see from my comment in the end, I did not play it once and suggest to replace them. +1 Force Illusion and +1 Indomitable are also a good choice for that, thanks!

Why crystal ball?

It´s just a cheap upgrade that provides focus sides and resource generation and generally an extra die into the pool (never a bad thing). But as I mentioned - I would replace it with another Force Speed if I had 2 of them.
