This deck is what I have for some trilogies games my group is playing. It has been fairly effective so far being able to deal 6-8 damage first round with just a conscript squad out. Kes' action really allows this deck to move quickly and strike hard with the amount of focus on the trooper dice. Its well within reach to spike an 8 cost character round 1 or early round 2 which seems to be important at this stage in the game.
