Just curious why you don't play Shoot First over Deflect. It's pretty good tempo, die removal and features ambush to feed Han shields and stay actions ahead.

You make a fair point. I might consider a 1-1 split. Initially, my thinking on Deflect over Shoot First is reliability. I don't need my dice to come up in any particular way to deal with my opponent's damage using Deflect, where I'm relying on my rolls turning up well for Shoot First.

That said, 18 out of 90 faces (roughly 20% of the possible rolls in the deck) are immediately resolvable ranged damage, so maybe those odds are good enough to justify relying on Shoot First.
