After participating in a previous SC with Yoda/Hondo (3-2) and pulling Cassian and Anakin in packs, I decided to give mill a try.

This isn't based on any particular list but from research and deck testing I did in person prior to the SC. I thought about just doing eYoda/eCassian, but Anakin is a resourceful kid and has good synergy with his podracer. You need the resources in the deck.

I would probably scale the Into The Garbage Chute down to one since Anakin is usually dead after the first or second turn and you want to resolve Cassian's Die to mill. I'd maybe play Overconfidence over it.

I think this deck does well against everything except where they can resolve their character dice immediately. Force Illusion, Second Chance, and sometimes Yoda are there to help mitigate the damage if that's the case.

Imperial Palace - Coruscant is a double edged sword and I think more than half the time it was used against me, but not sure if there is a better battlefield to play. Other options might include Medical Center - Kaliida Shoals , Echo Base - Hoth , or Outer Rim Outpost - Nal Hutta

Everyone went after Anakin first, but I had split opinions from my opponents between Yoda and Cassian. I've learned that Cassian is better at closing the game than Yoda because of his 2 sides with discard, and Yoda is good for milling. You also can't put second chance on Yoda, decreasing his available lifeline options, and end game force illusion is nearly a dead draw. A Lone Operative might be a good solution.

We had 20 people participate with 5 rounds and top 4. The event was streamed at my FLGS's twitch account https://www.twitch.tv/dothanfanatix of which my fourth round and Top 2 match was recorded. (Link in the match descriptions below)

Round 1 vs eSeventh Sister/ePryce - Win

I hadn't played against these characters before, so it was a curious match for me. I was able to mill my opponent for a good round 1 win. She ended up with the same record as me in the 4th round, but lost her 5th round match.

Round 2 vs eMother Tzlalkin/Mandalorian Supers x2 - Timed Loss

This matchup was interesting as the deck is mill loss resistant with his Mandalorian Vambraces and Chance Cube. Unfortunately my single copy of Hyperspace Jump was in the last 4 cards of my deck and time was called before I could draw them. However, this round was the only loss I received that day.

Round 3 vs eRex/Maz/Clone Trooper - Win

This matchup can be scary given that there are ways to action cheat to resolve you dice with Maz. Luckily, I didn't see much of that when I played my opponent.

Round 4 vs eDarth Vader - Dark Apprentice/ePryce - Win https://www.twitch.tv/videos/299337804 2:55:00

This was also another interesting matchup for me to play against as Darth Vader has good damage potential and with Pryce to back it up, it can be messy. I usually don't get a chance to claim the battlefield as I am more concerned about resolving dice. However,I think this list is good against these matchups because you have a lot of dice mitigation choices for certain situations.

Round 5 vs eSabine/Gungan Warrior - Win

I was worried about Sabine's ability since I was milling. It was a close match for sure and honestly my opponent should have won. He made a criticial misplay that cost him the match right at the end and didn't kill my wounded Cassian. He was one of several 3-2's, but his SoS was the best so he got to play in Top 4.

TOP CUT Round 1 vs Battle Droids x5 - Win 2-0

Droids can be intimidating because of their ability to roll to activate the other droids and have a whole bunch of indirect damage on board. Mill is a great plan against the deck as it gets rid of scary cards like Planetary Bombardment , LR1K Sonic Cannon, and Hailfire Droid Tank and Flames of the Past works well if they manage to get something on board.

The dice mitigation in this list also works when you use it to get rid of the non modifier damage and they don't want to pitch to reroll. My opponent was unlucky enough one round to roll into straight modifiers.

TOP CUT Round 2 vs e Obi-Wan Kenobi - Jedi Master / eMaz - Win 2-0 https://www.twitch.tv/videos/299337804 05:14:00

This was actually the matchup I was worried about the moment I saw my opponent lay down his character cards. I have played the list a few times before so I know how it works, but the upgrades are killer and with Maz's ability it can be nasty.

The first game I was looking at my opponent's deck late game and thinking I was probably not going to win based on my board state. Anakin was killed real early and Yoda was next a few rounds later. With Cassian as my only character, my options on closing it out I felt were limited. I wasn't sure if he was able to do it. But I was able to close the game in my favor after a few critical decisions. In the last round he pitched his last card to reroll his Obi die to hopefully kill Cassian. He rolled into enough damage to kill Cass, but fortunately I had a Pacify in hand to stop it.

The next game was smoother for me as I tried to be proactive about rerolling or removing his dice when he rolled a good combination on Obi Wan.

Overall a great tournament for the deck and a great selection of opponents to help give feedback on the list.

Congrats on the win! This was a strong list, and the Rebel into Second Chance plays were clutch.
