I randomly picked up 1 of the new Captain Phasma - Stormtrooper Commander and exactly 2 each of Megablaster Troopers, Imperial Officer, and Conscript Squad, so I knew I had to try it out, though it did require picking up some cheap First Order Stormtroopers for $.50 each at my local store to have enough dice. This deck pretty much builds itself, starting with those cards.

The big question was who to pair her with. I knew I wanted the plot to make the blanks work. There's really nothing to be gained from going blue on this deck, even though Mother Talzin - Nightsister Matriarch looks tempting at first. But I'm not doing odd costs, so even if I were to do blue, I think Sly Moore - Aide to the Emperor would be the better choice.

I considered a couple of yellow characters, including the new Jabba The Hutt - Influential Kingpin and Watto - Stubborn Gambler, for good resources and access to yellow cards. Watto's got a better die, but Jabba has the advantage of being a leader, which works with the Megablasters. I almost went that way, but decided I could pull it off with just red.

Looking at red, Firmus Piett - Ambitious Admiral was tempting, to rig the FOS dice to resources to pay for everything else. Arihnda Pryce - Unscrupulous Governor is also worth considering. But Wat Tambor - Techno Union Foreman has two resource sides and two focus sides, and he's a leader, along with his power action, which is great for a support heavy deck like this.

This is actually the second version of this deck, after playing it in a store tourney and then revising it a little. I went 2-1, though it would have been 3-0 if I hadn't made one crucial mistake. It's a powerful deck that just pumps out loads of damage.

I originally had more weapons, because I was worried about getting enough damage dice, if the Megablasters happened to get buried at the bottom of my deck. But I never played any of the weapons, so I took a few out, and just left in the two most effective. That's when I added Make Demands was added in, so I'm looking forward to try that out. It should be good to hit an opponent for 2 dmg when they're out of resources.

I also had second copies of The Best Defense... and Measure for Measure originally, but my removal was kind of limited at the time. There were just too many situations when I couldn't use it, because I hadn't rolled any dice in yet, or couldn't afford to take the 3 damage. So I took out the second copies of those in favor of 2 Battle Fatigues. Oddly, the reason for only 1 Riot Shield is that I only own one of the card, despite getting doubles of so many rares and the Megablaster Troopers from this set. I didn't bother buying it as a single, given that I'll probably pick it up in draft or a prize pack soon enough, but it's good enough on Phasma that I should probably have 2 in here.

On the choice of battlefield, I decided that since there's no way I'll ever win the roll off, I might as well go with the one that screams "Give me shields". It worked.
